Hong Kong

Colourful and welcoming, Hong Kong offers something for every traveller. Truly multicultural, the fusion of east and west has created some unique customs, and English-speaking visitors will have little trouble finding their way around and translating signs.

Surprisingly mountainous, and full of sprawling parks, the city is more lush and full of nature than many realise. Take a tram up to the top of Victoria Peak to check out the views, or ride a Star Ferry across Tsim Sha Tsui harbour for one of the best cityscapes you’ll find on the planet. Hong Kong Central is where the shopping is at, from high end to street haggling, but don’t be afraid to venture out and make use of their excellent public transport. We recommend heading to Lantau Island for the ‘Big Buddha’, Tai O fishing village and Hong Kong Disneyland, whilst Macau is where its at for the nightlife. However, with more than 250 islands nearby, you can never run out of places to explore and sights to see.

Most UK visitors can enjoy up to 180 visa-free days in Hong Kong. Speak to us to make sure you have everything you need before visiting the country.

Update: The UK Foreign Office are currently advising caution when visiting Hong Kong due to a series of protests taking place across the city. Check their site for the most up-to-date information. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice
